This piece was first edited in Lightroom Classic using my preset (Painterly) for a painterly, surreal vibe. After that I used several different masks to create a dramatic lighting effect. Then, the photo was further edited in Photoshop using different techniques like dodging & burning, high pass, liquify etc.
By decreasing the clarity (Camera Raw Filter) on less important areas, a dreamy and soft look was achieved which is very pleasing visually.
